Event description
Join us for our Term 4 PD to learn more about biodiversity from Kim Davis a wildlife rescuer who presents workshops on ecology and caring for wildlife. In this workshop Kim will talk about biodiversity and it's links to the curriculum, the importance of habitat, how schools can create habitat gardens for wildlife and how to care for injured wildlife.
Kim has been rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife for 5 years and has until recently worked as an Environmental Education Officer at Edendale Community Environment Farm. Her current role involves delivering face-to-face and online training to recruit volunteers in the wildlife sector, and presenting educational webinars and workshops about ecology and how communities can help local wildlife.
A range of resources and links will be available after the session. Attendees will receive a Certificate meeting professional development requirements set by VIT registration.
