Biodiversity Walk
Event description
Ready for the City Nature Challenge 2025?
Come along for a gentle stroll in nature, where you can learn about the biodiversity in your area and document sightings. This event is during the school holidays and is perfect for all ages to enjoy time together.
Date: 26/04/2025 (Saturday)
Time: 9 to 10 am
Location: Meet at the Labyrinth, Roy Marten Reserve, Taperoo (Please park on the Lady Gowrie Drive side)
What to Expect:
🐚We'll walk for about 45 minutes in four different groups, covering native plants, birds, marine life and other creatures we encounter.
🐚The walk will conclude at Largs Fort Eatery, where we’ll share what we saw from the different groups
🐚We've got plant, marine, bird ID booklets to share, plus a handful of binoculars for you to get up close
🐚Kids are welcome! (supervision required as we'll be beside the beach)
What to Bring:
- Bring a water bottle, wear comfy shoes and clothing, hat, sunscreen and your mobile/camera and enjoy nature with a friendly group of people. Please carry your personal medications (e.g., inhalers), Download iNaturalist app on your phone
