    Event description

    They are Back!

Esteemed Biodynamic Educators Tony Browne and Hamish Mackay are back at Chaffin Creek Farm.

An amazing day with the community. Visit our beautiful regeneratively farmed property.

Our farm day will kick off at 9am as before with a quick chat about what's been happening on the farm and introductions. We will then get stuck into doing and learning with Tony Browne from Brownies Biodynamics and Hamish Mackay from Biodynamic 2024.

We will learn about and make

    • PREP 500 by pulling up the winter cow horns and making soil activator spreading it using the flow form
    • Prep 501 Horn Silica by burring cow horn with finely ground quartz (silica) and burying during the summer months
    • Biodynamic Tree Paste
    • Bio Char

☑️ Prep 500. Improves Soil Structure. Enhances Microbial Activity. Boosts Root Development. Increases Humus in the Soil. Supports Water Retention. Encourages Soil Life and Diversity. Strengthens Plant Immunity. Encourages Nutrient Cycling

☑️ Prep 501. Horn Silica. Enhances Photosynthesis. Improves Plant Strength and Structure. Promotes Healthy Leaf Development. Increases Resistance to Pests and Diseases. Enhances Plant Maturity and Ripening. Boosts Light Sensitivity. Improves Crop Quality and Flavour. Balances Plant Growth. Promotes Flowering and Seed Formation. Increases Resistance to Environmental Stress. Supports Biodynamic Rhythms.

☑️ Tree Paste. Protects from Pests and Diseases. Promotes Health and Vitality. Supports Wound Healing. Stimulates Root and Canopy Growth. Improves Soil and Tree Connection. Balances Tree's Energies. Reduces Bark Cracking. Provides Nutrients. Improves Biodiversity. Prevents Lichen and Moss Overgrowth.

☑️ Biochar. Improves Soil Fertility. Increases Water Retention. Enhances Microbial Activity and biodiversity. Boosts Carbon Sequestration. Reduces Greenhouse Gas Emissions. Improves Soil Structure. Neutralises Soil Acidity. Enhances Plant Growth and Yield. Reduces the Need for Chemical Fertilisers. Prevents Soil Erosion. Filters Contaminants. Long term impacts through slow release. Reduces soil compaction.
