Description

Biohacking with Peruvian Plant Medicines: Ancient Allies for Modern Brains

Description: Discover the original biohackers’ toolkit — Peruvian plant medicines that have been used for centuries to enhance cognition, resilience and vitality. In this workshop, Dr Corin Storkey explores how maca, cacao, cannabinoids, adaptogens and other Andean botanicals interact with the gut-brain axis, the endocannabinoid system, endocrine system and neuroplasticity pathways. Learn how these plants support hormonal balance, libido, energy, sleep, mood regulation, stress resilience, clearer thinking and emotional balance, and how modern science is validating their profound effects. Through a science-meets-spirit lens you’ll gain practical strategies for choosing the right plant allies and optimising your mental and physical performance naturally.

Dr Corin Storkey (PhD) Medicinal chemist, researcher, husband and father of two young girls, and co-founder of Seleno Health.

With over 25 years of academic and industry experience (including a PhD in medicinal chemistry from the University of Melbourne), Corin specialises in the neurochemistry of cacao, maca, cannabinoids and other Andean plant medicines. He co-supervises the Otago University “Bean to Brain” cacao research project and leads research that bridges Andean and Amazonian plant medicines — mapping their bioactive compounds and therapeutic pharmacological effects.

Trained with Mind Medicine Australia in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy (PAT), Corin works at the intersection of mind-body connection, neuroscience and ancestral plant wisdom. As a retreat leader for immersive experiences in Peru, and having personally overcome chronic fatigue syndrome through an integrative approach, he bridges 7,000-year-old Peruvian traditions with cutting-edge science. His workshops and teachings explore neuroplasticity, altered state integration, the gut-brain axis, biohacking and conscious living — offering practical tools for deep transformation and modern wellbeing.
