The Upper Deep Creek Landcare Network and the Deep Creek Landcare Group invites you to celebrate the launch of the Mount William Range Biolink Project Plan!
This is an opportunity for landholders in the Lancefield area and surrounds to –
- meet their neighbors,
- learn more about “biolinks” and the activities that can be planned to create them
- hear about Deep Creek Landcare group’s Mount William Range Biolink Project, how it started and how its going.
- Learn about native wildlife, their habitat requirements and how nesting boxes can provide protection in an altered environment
- Hear about support for creating biolinks and funding opportunities through Melbourne Water and other grants.
Speakers –
- Ammie Jackson, Landcare Facilitator, UDCL Network - What are Biolinks and how do we create them, other biolinks in the Macedon Ranges Shire, the Mount William Biolink Project story.
- Miles Geldard, Wildlife Nest Boxes - Wildlife of the local area, their habitat requirements and how Nesting boxes are used in Biolinks.
- Tori Vincent, Melbourne Water - support and funding incentives through the Livable Communities, Livable Waterways Program.
Lunch will be provided after the presentations.
