The Bios 1 Circle is an innovative attempt to establish an ongoing circle of Roleystone people and others concerned about the implications of global warming and climate change.

The project aims to provide a platform for research, discussion and action in Roleystone and in other communities with particular reference to a value system that recognises that all value, and thereby our future security, derives from the biosphere.

The following topics will be addressed:

Increasing risk of serious bushfire in the hills and how we can all best prepare
Drying climate - the death of an alarming number of native trees through the hills and in and around Roleystone
Reduced rainfall in the Southwest and loss of ground water has seriously affected the fruit and vegetable growing industries throughout the hills
The loss of biodiversity in our area and the role of foxes and cats
