Event description

Biosphere Boodja

Arts & Wild Things Festival 2025

Sunday 28–Monday 29 September 2025
Goomalling, Avon Valley, Western Australia

Biosphere Boodja Arts & Wild Things Festival 2025 brings together art, music, culture, and community in a vibrant, two-day experience under the open sky.

With free-entry, crop circle sculpture installations, giant puppetry, spectacular light painting on grain storage domes, a clay-play tent and a festival market full of surprises, Biosphere Boodja invites you to reconnect with the land, with each other, and with your own sense of wonder.

Run by volunteers and supported by sponsors to keep the event free-entry, Biosphere Boodja Arts and Wild Things Festival 2025 is a sister event to Wedge, the Australian Ceramics Triennale, attracting the nation's top ceramic artist to Fremantle (October 2 to 5).

What makes this special?

  • Australia’s first crop circle art gallery, with 12 sculpture installations spiralling through golden crops of wheat

  • Awe-inspiring fire dance, projection art, and twilight performances beneath giant domes

  • Non-stop live music from WA’s finest artists plus spontaneous busking on the streets

  • Hands-on workshops for all ages — clay, weaving, creature-building and more (many free, some paid expert-led events)

  • Cultural storytelling from Nyungar Elders, celebrating truth-telling and connection to Boodja (Country)

  • Stargazing, soundscapes, ceremony, and celebration under the Wheatbelt night sky

This is a family-friendly, inclusive event that’s entirely free to attend — but please register below so we know to expect you.
