Here in the Blue Mountains we are so lucky to be surround by an abundance of native Australian birdlife. From cockatoos to cassowaries, backyard currawongs to tiny fairy wrens, our feathered friends are so full of colour, character and endless inspiration for artists.
The materials used will be cardboard, wire, hot glue, paint and an assortment of found and recycled objects. Cardboard is a fantastic and highly versatile sculptural material. The lightness, tensile strength, and flexibility of cardboard allows for participants to experiment with form, geometric planes and various textures. Cardboard truly is a surprising and playful material. Using wire for armatures and delicate bird-like legs and feet, and a splash of paint for colour, be amazed as your feathered friends come to life in your hands!
Tickets for good, not greed Humanitix dedicates 100% of profits from booking fees to charity
