Birdwatching for beginners at Myponga Reservoir Reserve

New to birdwatching, or keen to try it as a family? Learn how to look, listen and notice the birds around you in this beginner-friendly birdwatching experience for families.

Join us together with Nature Play SA on Monday 28 September at Myponga Reservoir Reserve, where we'll share tips for finding, observing and identifying birds, and explore some of the birdlife and habitat around the reservoir.

You’ll have the chance to learn more about birds such as the Scarlet Robin and put your new birdwatching skills into practice. Birdwatching is about more than identifying what you see. It encourages us to slow down, pay attention, notice what is around us and ask questions about the natural world.

No previous birdwatching experience is needed. Binoculars and bird identification materials will be provided.

Places are limited and registrations are essential.

This event is part of our climate change and biodiversity initiative Reservoirs for Nature, that is restoring habitat at Myponga and Mount Bold reservoir reserves to support recovery of threatened species, including woodland birds.
