Voices of Birralee Audition Day

Voices of Birralee are holding auditions for our Birralee Singers, Brisbane Birralee Voices and Birralee Blokes. We invite all interested singers to register and audition for a place in Semester 2, 2023. By signing up this term you will receive a 15% discount off 2023 Semester 2 tuition fees.

Our community choir organisation fosters a love of choral music in young people and has entertained and thrilled audiences in Brisbane, across our state, country and indeed the world. Singing is known to be hugely beneficial to brain development and singing together is advantageous to good mental health while also providing a sense of belonging within a community of like-minded people irrespective of age. Birralee Singers (yr 5 -7)

• Saturday 17 June from 2:15pm at Ascot State School Hall, Massey Street Entrance.
• Monday 19 June from 3:30pm at Carindale Salvation Army Hall, Gallipoli Road, Carina
• Tuesday 20 June from 3:30pm at Birralee HQ, 57 Carwoola Street, Bardon

All auditioning Singers are invited to stay and participate in the rehearsal following their audition. Rehearsal times for Singers are detailed here

Brisbane Birralee Voices (13 – 18 years treble voices)  

• Tuesday 13 June from 6:00pm 
• Tuesday 20 June from 6:00pm

At Birralee HQ, 57 Carwoola Street, Bardon

Audition - this involves a few singing exercises and singing a well-known song (eg. National Anthem/Happy Birthday) with the conductor.
Rehearsal Participation - from 6.30 - 8.00pm new auditionees are invited to stay and participate in this rehearsal to experience what singing with the ensemble is like

Birralee Blokes (13 – 25 years changed male voices) 

• Monday 19 June from 6:15pm
• Monday 17 July from 6:15pm

At Birralee HQ, 57 Carwoola Street, Bardon

Audition - this involves a few singing exercises and singing a well-known song (eg. National Anthem/Happy Birthday) with the conductor.
Rehearsal Participation - from 6.30 - 8.30pm new auditionees are invited to stay and participate in this rehearsal to experience what singing with the ensemble is like
