    Event description

    Birth & Beyond

Join us for Birth & Beyond, a comprehensive workshop designed for all pregnant women, focusing on empowering you through your journey from birth to postpartum. This unique event features a lineup of expert speakers who will equip you with the knowledge and skills to navigate this transformative experience confidently. We also have some amazing support services who will come with stalls to show you what Warrnambool has to offer in the birth space.

We know there is a great divide between the medical and holistic models of birth, and we want to bridge that gap by bringing supportive professionals together, to provide positive preparation and recovery tips, and direct you to where you can go for help when you need it. Let's bring the village together to support all birthing people.

    What to Expect:

    • Pelvic Floor Insights with Chloe: Learn about the pelvic floor's crucial role during pregnancy and birth. Discover effective pelvic floor exercises, the benefits of perineal massage, and techniques for optimal birth positioning, breathing, and pushing. A taster of Chloe's online course Pelvic Floor Prep for Birth.
    • Midwifery Wisdom with Sarah: Delve into the hormonal changes during labour, effective pain management strategies, and the principles of hypnobirthing. Sarah will also share valuable tips for support partners to enhance your birthing experience.
    • Medical Expertise: Alex Umbers, doctor and co-host of podcast Pregnancy Uncut will be talking to us about the unpredictability of pregnancy and birth, and how to cope when plans change.
    • Breastfeeding Preparation with Leanne: Prepare for your breastfeeding journey with expert guidance on essential techniques and tips to set you up for success in those early days with your newborn.

Join us for this empowering event and connect with a community of mothers-to-be as you prepare for the incredible journey ahead!
