Event description

Birthing your Drum is a process of discovery, healing and crafting your unique medicine tool.

Join the circle in Wilsons Creek Byron Shire NSW over the full moon Saturday December 14th and Sunday December 15th 9am to 6pm each day.  Address will be sent out on booking.

This workshop brings women together in circle to create a sacred ritual space and together we will explore the magick and mystery that is drum making, the herstory of the drum and its significance in the journey of women throughout time.

You will be guided and held in circle by Sequoia Glastonbury, a teacher with the School of Shamanic Womancraft who brings 20 years of experience in guiding women through their transformational experiences including crafting their sacred drums.

What will we do?

  • Create ritual space
  • Share in circle
  • Journey
  • Explore our birth imprints of our own births, the births of our children, projects and our creative process.  This is a process that takes us to the core of our imprinting as we re-weave our drums into being
  • Crafting drums from Kangaroo Skin
  • Journey to meet the spirit of the animal
  • Bring back messages and your unique medicine

This is a 2 day non-residential workshop

Spots are limited to only 6 Women, to keep an intimate circle with plenty of time for sharing together.

Arrival is Saturday December 14 from 9am until 6pm.  Spend the day immersed in circle, crafting drum beaters, preparing your drum skin, and learning about the shamanic dimensions of drum making, the spirit of the animal and wood you are using to craft your drum, connecting in circle and journeying together.  Your prepped hides will soak under the full moon.
