Birth Worker Brunch
Description
Our birth and perinatal community in the Fraser Valley is growing, and I really want us to know each other.
I spent over 10 years working as a doula before becoming a therapist in the perinatal world, and along the way I’ve gotten to know so many incredible people supporting families in so many different ways. But I’m always surprised by how many of us don’t actually know each other.
So I wanted to get us in a room.
If you work with people anywhere through fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum or early parenthood, this is for you. Doulas, midwives, nurses, therapists, RMTs, pelvic floor physios, lactation consultants, nutritionists, photographers, educators, nonprofit organizations and all the people I’m forgetting.
Come have brunch. Meet people outside of your own profession. Find out who is doing what in our community and who you might feel good referring someone to. Tell people what you do and what you care about.
There’s no presentation and nothing you need to prepare. This is really just a chance to connect.
We do such relational work, often pretty independently. I think knowing the people around us matters, both for the families we support and for us.
