BISCUIT TIN 2024

After a short hiatus in 2023 our Annual Moving Image Festival is BACK !!

Delving back into the biscuit tin to pull out all the threads, 5ps and knick-knacks that have been stashed away we've uncovered some absolute gems.

Join us from 7PM on the 8th DECEMBER to watch 11 different moving image works from emerging artists around Scotland and beyond!

For the full programme of films please keep an eye on our website

There will be drinks and of course, BISCUITS

All films will be closed captioned (Thank you Holly!)

The event will have a range of seating options including a variety of different chairs and some beanbags. You can email us beforehand at embassygalleryedinburgh@gmail.com or speak to a member of the committee upon arrival if you require a specific type of seat as we can make sure one is reserved for you.

Any other access questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the committee ( embassygalleryedinburgh@gmail.com), we wish to make this event accessible to all members of our community & will be happy to help to try and make the space comfortable for you and provide more information if you wish.

For Access information about the space please click here.

About the Festival:

Biscuit Tin was initially brought to EMBASSY by ex-committee member Maria Wrang-Rasmussen and set up to be a screening event of films not yet shown in a physical space- missed opportunities, something forgotten, shoved aside or disregarded.

This year as well as evening screening we have invited artists Aaron Dawson-Riley and Liberty Hodes to host NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH. Neighbourhood watch is a regular screening environment for video makers, originally hosted at the Newbridge Project. It provides a space for divergent video-making practices, outside of our current channels of media distribution.

Neighbourhood Watch will take place on 7/12/24at EMBASSY.

Anyone is welcome to share work of up to 10 minutes or come, view and offer feedback. for more info see the link below!
