Bitterbrush Replanting
Event description
Why We’re Gathering
This summer, a human-caused fire devastated part of the Owyhee Canyon leading up to the dam. Bitterbrush is vital forage for deer, pronghorn, and countless other species; let's do what we can to repair this careless damage. Together, we’ll help restore this wild landscape by planting new bitterbrush seedlings that will support the ecosystem for decades to come.
What to Bring & Wear
-Sturdy shoes/boots – you’ll be on uneven ground.
-Work gloves – to protect your hands, we will have gloves available too
-Weather-appropriate layers – October can be chilly or sunny (sometimes both).
-Water – at least 2 liters per person, we will provide water
-Snacks/lunch – keep your energy up.

All tools and plants will be provided.

Why It Matters
