Event description

We represent the next generation of culture keepers. We are community builders, storytellers, creatives, and healers. As culture shifters and futurists, we preserve the sanctity of Black storytelling.

We unearth the deep wells of oral tradition and archive as a conduit to our ancestral wisdom. By conceiving fresh rituals and traditions, we kindle intergenerational healing and connections.

If this speaks to you, join us Wednesday, October 22 for a convening of those discovering, keeping, and sharing Black family histories.

Our theme this month is "Home for the Holidays: Preparing to Interview Family." With the holiday season approaching, many are planning to see or visit loved ones in the coming months. How can you take advantage of your time together to ask questions, explore your history, and develop deeper bonds? Bring the questions you have, and leave with tangible tools for having the kind of conversations that can get you answers.

This convening is hosted by the organizers of Black Storytelling Week, a holiday dedicated to passing down family history. Black Storytelling Week is the second week of September
