BLAQ COIN FINANCIAL WELLNESS WORKSHOP
Description
💎 BLAQ $COIN$ Economic Empowerment & Financial Wellness Program💎
YOUR MONEY. YOUR POWER. YOUR FUTURE.
BLAQ DIAMONDS Women Empowerment (BDWE) is excited to launch the BLAQ $COIN$ Program – Economic Empowerment & Financial Wellness, a culturally safe, practical and empowering financial wellness program created specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in Brisbane.
Proudly designed, developed and delivered by BLAQ DIAMONDS Women Empowerment, BLAQ $COIN$ is about much more than budgeting.
It's about helping our women build the knowledge, confidence, practical skills and connections to take greater control of their financial wellbeing and create stronger financial futures for themselves and their families.
Whether you're trying to make your money stretch further, get on top of debt, start saving, understand superannuation, rebuild financially, increase your income or simply become more confident with money — BLAQ $COIN$ is designed to help you take your next steps.
💰 What is BLAQ $COIN$?
BLAQ $COIN$ is a FREE three-part financial wellness journey delivered through three connected one-day workshops.
A group of up to 25 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women will complete the program together, allowing us to build trust, learn together, share knowledge and support each other along the way.
This isn't about being judged for where you are financially.
There is no shame and no judgement.
You don't need to be good with money, have savings, own a home or understand complicated financial language.
Come as you are. Start from where you are.
💎 Across the three workshops, we'll explore:
YOUR MONEY
Understand where your money is going and strengthen your everyday money-management skills.
YOUR GOALS
Identify what financial wellbeing and financial freedom could look like for you.
BUDGETING & SAVING
Learn practical ways to budget, manage household expenses, save and prepare for unexpected costs.
BANKING, CREDIT & DEBT
Build your understanding of banking, credit, debt and how financial decisions can affect your future.
SUPERANNUATION & TAX
Strengthen your knowledge of super and taxation and why they matter for your longer-term financial wellbeing.
FINANCIAL SAFETY
Learn about financial abuse, economic control and ways to strengthen your financial independence and safety.
INCREASING YOUR INCOME
Explore pathways into employment, education, training, self-employment, business and additional income opportunities.
YOUR NEXT STEPS
Develop your own personalised BLAQ $COIN$ Next Steps Action Plan to help turn what you've learned into practical action.
These areas directly reflect the approved program's financial education, financial safety, income pathways and individual action-planning components.

Places are limited to approximately 25 women, so priority will be given to eligible participants who can commit to completing the full program.
🖤 A culturally safe space to talk about money
We know talking about money isn't always easy.
Financial stress can be connected to cost-of-living pressures, unemployment, housing stress, debt, family responsibilities, financial abuse and many other circumstances.
BLAQ $COIN$ has therefore been designed as a culturally safe, trauma-informed, strengths-based and non-judgemental space where women can learn, ask questions and build confidence without feeling ashamed about their financial circumstances.
You will never be required to disclose personal experiences of domestic and family violence or financial abuse as part of your registration or participation.
💛 KNOWLEDGE • CONFIDENCE • OPPORTUNITY • WEALTH
Financial empowerment isn't just about how much money you have today.
It's about building the knowledge to make informed decisions, the confidence to take action, the skills to create opportunities and a stronger foundation for the future.
Your money. Your power. Your future.
Empowered Women. Empower Generations. 💎
