FAQs

  • When and where is the event?

Nexia Blast in the Park is on Friday 6 November at Anderson Park, Havelock North. Gates open at 5:30pm, Bay Batucada kick things off around 6pm, and the fireworks start at 9pm.

  • Can I buy tickets at the gate?

Yes, but gate prices are higher on the night, so it’s best to buy online before sales close at 5pm on Friday. EFTPOS is available at the gate.

  • Is it going ahead if it rains?

We’re planning to go ahead. The forecast is for a hot day with the rain clearing before the fireworks, so pack a raincoat just in case. Any updates will be posted on our Facebook page and emailed directly to ticket holders.

  • Can I bring my own food and chilly bin?

Yes, bring your own picnic and chilly bin but there’ll also be a wide selection of food options on site if you’d prefer a night off!

  • Can I bring my dog?

Please leave your dogs at home, with the exception of assistance dogs. With the fireworks and big crowds, home is the best spot for them.

  • What should I bring?

A picnic blanket or low chairs, warm layers, and a raincoat or poncho for any showers. Anderson Park is an open field, so it gets chilly once the sun goes down.

  • Can I pay by card?

EFTPOS is available for ticket sales at the gate and at most food trucks. Bring cash for the school stalls and activities.

  • Where do I park?

There’s no parking at Anderson Park itself, but there’s plenty of roadside parking in the surrounding streets. Please be mindful of residents’ driveways, and allow a few extra minutes to walk in.
