UNSW Health are pleased to offer Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to UNSW Students.

What is Mental Health First Aid?

Just like physical first aid courses train members of the public to provide basic first aid to someone with a physical health condition, MHFA teaches skills to help someone experiencing a mental health problem.

The Blended Online MHFA Tertiary Course is designed for university students to support fellow students.

The training has two components

  • Self-paced eLearning course over 5-6 hours ($55 payable to MHFA Australia)
  • 2 x 2.5 hour webinars (Delivered by UNSW)


When and where?

The eLearning is self-paced and must be complete no later than one week before the first webinar. 

The webinars will be delivered via zoom from 10am to 12.30pm on 1st & 2nd June.

    You must be available to attend both sessions in full.

    Current UNSW Students

    What's the cost?

    $55 is payable to MHFA Australia for the eLearning course which must be complete before attending the webinars. The webinars are funded through UNSW for current students.
