Kyra Geddes is a passionate reader, writer, art lover and traveller of mixed German-Italian heritage. She was born in Adelaide and spent her infancy in the South Australian opal fields before moving to Sydney’s beautiful Northern Beaches. Following a successful marketing career, Kyra returned to university to study English and pursue her lifelong dream of writing. The Story Thief is her acclaimed debut novel, and has been described as ‘a family saga that doubles as a feminist reimagining of Australian history and literature'.
Helen Signy is an Australian writer who grew up in England – or, depending on how she feels that day, an English writer who lives in Australia. She spent much of her youth travelling the world before becoming a print journalist in Asia and then in Sydney. Most of her writing these days involves science communications for academics, governments and not-for-profits, but she has never lost her passion for telling an amazing story. Maya’s Dance is her first foray into fiction.
