Blockade Cinema Tour - Whaingaroa
Event description
Join us for an evening of frontline resistance, film, and kōrero. We’ll be screening powerful short documentaries by Manic Seeds Media. The films are the result of an activist filmmaker who’s spent the last 8 years documenting direct action campaigns across so-called Australia - from coal train blockades to mine site occupations. These grassroots actions have played a key role in halting destructive projects.
Crusty Fox, the filmmaker behind Blockade Cinema, shared why these stories matter in an interview with Aaron this morning on Raglan Community Radio:

Co hosted by Whāingaroa Environment Centre & KASM who will be offering some insight into important actions that can be taken locally in the wake of a slew of destructive legislation brought forth by the current government.
