About Kel Balnaves

Kel Balnaves is a skilled MC, performer, and headline comedian touring throughout Australia and is a regular guest comedian onboard P&O Cruise ships. Well… that was before… you know, Covid - but let’s not talk about that.

Kel has been performing at festivals like the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival for over 10 years! Wet behind the ears, Kel performed in his first Adelaide Fringe way back in 2008. His ears have now dried out and he has since written and performed 9 solo shows on the trott. His most recent show won an Adelaide Fringe weekly award for best comedy.

Instantly likable and infinitely relatable, Kel Balnaves is a laconic storyteller with a keen eye for those everyday things we all experience. Solid, reliable and punchy, he is the act to bet on.

As South Aussie as a Fritz flavoured pie floater on top of a Stobie poll - the highest rank possible. Kel supports regional Australia. Anything from performing a drought relief tour of the Outback Australia, to Country Fire Service fundraisers.

Practical, funny, Kel’s a comedy Swiss army knife. When he’s not touring all over the country, Kel can usually be found making homebrew or fixing a knackered Land Rover.
