Struggling to feed her large family, Mrs. Johnstone makes a desperate pact to secretively give one of her newborn twins to her wealthy employer, Mrs. Lyons.

Mickey grows up in poverty, while Edward is raised in upper-class privilege. Despite their different worlds, a chance meeting brings them together as children, and they swear a pact to become blood brothers—completely unaware of their real bond.

As they grow into adulthood, class divisions, financial strain, and a shared love interest push their childhood connection to a devastating, fateful breaking point.

Blood Brothers is being performed as an NCEA level 1 assessment performance. The students have taken on both acting and production roles bringing the infamous text to life including some of the original iconic musical numbers.
