Bloom Open Gardens
Event description
These residents of Kojonup and Woodanilling will be opening their gardens over one weekend for the bloom festival.
Garden 1: The Eclectic Garden - 61 Newstead Road, Kojonup 6395
The combination of planting, art and garden layout gives this unusual and visually stunning and constantly evolving garden heart and soul. It really is a feast for the eyes and a celebration of Mary’s love and dedication to her garden over many years.
Garden 2: Lucinda's Everlastings - 697 Mobrup Rd, Mobrup 6395
Lucinda’s Everlastings was inspired by the sheer beauty and simplicity of the everlasting flower. Come and enjoy a sea of pink and white at the huge open field of everlastings as far as the eye can see!
Garden 3: Whatanine Farm – 1155 Cartmeticup Road, Cartmeticup 6316
This garden at Whatanine started 56 years ago. There is much to enjoy with all the seasons but spring with its mass of colour wins us all. Roses, bulbs and native shrubs will all be in flower in October and look just stunning!
Garden 4: Winstanley Garden – 3375 Robinson Road Woodanilling 6316
A beautiful garden created and built by Marj consisting of rose bushes, native trees and shrubs, other ornamentals including a fish pond. - Words can do no justice to the view!
Garden 5: Pauline's Garden – 707 Burt Road Woodanilling 6316
This garden consists of mostly natives such as eremophilas, hakeas, grevilleas and other hardy species that must be tolerant of frost, drought and heavy clay soils. On restricted summer watering this takes patience and persistence to reap the rewards of a flourishing garden. A passion for rusty and rustic elements adds interest to the plantings which extend down the paddock for an acre or two as well as a protected garden bounded by the cattle yard. A must see!
These gardens are all very special from the newly planted to the more mature and nationally acclaimed. Explore the incredible gardens, learn tips and ideas for your own.
Last year it was $10 per person per garden Bloom special $26 for all 5 Gardens.
