Event description

This activity is the 2nd part to the Bloom Project, initially launched in July, artists Sharon Meredith and Julie Drive led 20 children through a creative journey, resulting in unique artworks, seascape photos and jellyfish sculptures. These creations have been crafted into a unified artwork “Bloom” and displayed at the Falcon Library offering a captivating backdrop for this activity that intwines storytelling and art.

Estuary Guardians and an indigenous leader will share stories of the local coastal landscape. Subsequently, Sharon Meredith and Julie Drive will lead children in crafting their own miniature ocean dioramas.

Attendees will depart having encountered fresh narratives of culture and conservation, and having crafted their own mini ocean diorama all in the presence of the new artwork "Bloom.”

Designed for children ages 6 - 12 years.

Parents must accompany all children

“BLOOM is proudly part of the Mandurah Arts Festival 2024 – 6 September to 6 October.”
