Event description

100% In-person training – no online components.

American Heart Association (AHA) training designed for healthcare providers working in-facility or in a pre-hospital environment. This course was previously known as Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. A 2020 edition Student Manual is required for this course. You may bring your own or purchase one from the AHA (ebook $15 or hard copy $17.50). If you purchase the hard copy, consider shipping times in relation to the class date.  Borrowing the manual from a friend or library is a great way to save on this.

Please note, you must have the student manual ebook or hardcopy in your possession to be admitted to class.

This course will cover adults, children and infants, spanning topics from recognizing and responding to the need for CPR, using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) as well as barrier devices, bag-mask device (BVM’s), and mouth to mouth for ventilation. It is directed at medical professionals in various fields such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians (EMT’s), respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician assistants (PA), residents or fellows, medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other health personnel.

AHA certifications are valid for 2 years and will be provided as a digital certification.
