Presenters:

Lyndon Llewellyn is from Australia Institute of Marine Science. It’s his well-honed analytical insights that have been leveraged by AIMS and Deloitte to produce the Index of Marine Industries. Lyndon has been a biologist, pharmacologist, biotechnologist and data scientist. During his career, he has instigated and led numerous projects, many of them multi-organizational (government, industry) on e-research, biotechnology and marine ecotoxicology. Various management roles have given him deep experience in the business of doing science and involvement in commercialisation projects has honed his IP skills.

Andrew Outhwaite founded For Blue, at the centre of Blue Economy innovation in WA. He authored the first report on WA’s Blue Economy which identified sectors with the greatest future potential. Andrew has qualifications and international experience in in sustainability, leadership, human development and marine science. He applies his scientific training, a care for human development, and passion for entrepreneurial solutions to enable the health of whole systems. In WA, Andrew previously led the growth of social ventures including Meshpoints, StartupWA and Pollinators Inc.
