Blue Lotus rises each dawn from the still waters, opening itself to the sun before returning once more into mystery. For the ancient Egyptians it became a living symbol of illumination, rebirth and divine consciousness, a bridge between the waters of creation and the light of awakening.

In this immersive plant spirit ceremony, we will enter into relationship with this beautiful and sacred plant, through meditation, movement, sound, journeying, myth and embodied practice. Together we will explore the meeting place of water and light, discovering what Blue Lotus may reveal through the body, the heart and the dreaming imagination.


Blue Lotus, the sacred flower of Egypt, initiator of spiritual awakening and evolution, offers us a call to remember sacred union with divine.

To awaken the golden codes of our divine essence, and the luminous pathways once known to the priestesses of Isis.

Held in reverence as a shamanic sacrament in the temples of Egypt, Blue Lotus was used in ritual to elevate consciousness, open the heart, and live in unison with the Divine. Blue Lotus teaches us that awakening is not an escape from the world, but a flowering through relationship. Rooted in darkness, held by water, opening to light.



Linked to the ancient wisdoms of the Myrrhophore priestesses and the Atlantean temples, our initiation ceremony is an invitation for remembrance, a return to the way of living light.

We will bring in the frequency of gold to merge with the spirit of Lotus and journey with what might be calling you for illumination and divine guidance. Its essence opens the crown and heart, a bridging of heaven and earth, assisting the soul to rise into clarity, vision, and devotion.

This is a sacred evening of intuition, remembrance, and reconnection. A sanctuary space to experience within an enhanced group field what Blue Lotus reveals, personally and collectively, with its deep relaxation and the gifts of dreaming.

Together we will drink ceremonial Blue Lotus tea and enter the dreaming intelligence of this extraordinary plant. Please note that drinking the tea is optional. The energy will be supportive and active with the plant spirit anyway.

Blue Lotus is not a hallucinogenc plant, however the imaginal journeys and dreams can be quite vivid at times.

Through meditation, movement, music, story, somatic awareness and guided journeying, we will allow Blue Lotus to become our teacher.

In this Circle Gathering you will experience:

• A guided Blue Lotus journey into the Egyptian temples of light, connecting with Isis and the sacred waters of creation

• Ceremonial meditation with the tea and plant spirit of Blue Lotus for heart opening and spiritual expansion

• Through conversation and images, an exploration of ancient Egyptian rituals, symbols, and myths of the lotus as a key to transformation and rebirth. Linking the lotus with the serpent and kundalini.

• Blue Lotus as sacred plant medicine, its spiritual, emotional, and physical gifts for you at this time.

• Practises for integration, movement, creative exercises, sharing and reflection

• Replenishment, relaxation and plant spirit guidance

Jacqui Bushell has been dancing with the mythic imagination for much of her life, through her love of the archetypal wisdom held in fairy tales and her work as a spiritual herbalist, listening for the voices and stories in plans, rocks and landscape. She is passionate about encouraging others to explore their own mythology at the borderlands of psyche, body, culture and land. She has been facilitating women’s circles, ceremonies, retreats, workshops and courses in Australia and internationally for 30 years.

Jacqui guides people in awakening their creative soul through connecting with the mysteries of the earth and their own sacred nature. She weaves together plant spirit alchemy, energetic healing, embodiment practices, storytelling, journey work and earth connection to inspire transformational shifts in the way people see themselves and their world. Her work is always empowering and experiential, inviting you to come home to a deep sense of belonging and kinship with nature.
