Blueberry Four
Event description
Yes - it's on again for one more week.
A local blueberry farm has had an abundant crop this year and have offered to sell us blueberries at the fabulous rate of $20 per kg for BPG financial members and $25 per kg for non-financial members. (That's the same price as frozen blueberries from the supermarket, which are from 'mixed origin' countries... aka China). Fresh organic blueberries can be anything from $36 to $50 per kg. The berries we have are grown on a biodynamic farm without chemical fertilisers but are not certified organic. All berries will have been picked within the previous 72 hours. So the berries you pick up on Wednesday night will have been picked fresh!
The deal is simple... if you want a kilo, buy a ticket. If you want 2 kilos, buy two tickets. We request an initial limit of 5 kg, so that everyone has a chance to take advantage of this offer.
It is the end of the season, so this offer will only happen for a few weeks. The current event is for the sale of berries for pick up between 7 & 8 pm on Wednesday March 5. Pick up is at the home of the growers - Peter & Tara Gaulke. Their address is 426 Peel St Nth (just near the Black Hill Hotel). It's best to park in Napier St and enter via the side gate.
All berries must be paid for in advance and picked up at the set times. If you cannot pick up at that time, you must arrange a friend to do so for you. Set an alarm on your phone for an hour before pick up.
Call Tara on 0456 365 501 if you get lost.
warm regards,
