Experience the Untold History of World War I

Step into 1918 France with Bluebirds by Governor General's Award-winning playwright Vern Thiessen. This moving and poetic drama follows Christy, Maggie, and Bab—three brave Canadian nurses who crossed oceans to care for wounded soldiers at a field hospital in Étaples. Nicknamed the "Bluebirds" for their vibrant uniforms, these women were among the first in modern history to hold military commissions. Amidst the devastating realities of the Great War, they find an unexpected sanctuary of friendship, independence, and hope. This isn't just another war play; it's a profound, raw, and deeply human celebration of the women who found their voices while the world was tearing itself apart.

Why This Production is Unmissable:

A Fresh Perspective: A rare and poignant look at WWI through the eyes of the heroic frontline women who redefined modern history.
Intimate & Powerful: A lyrical, emotionally relentless choral drama that balances historical grit with the unbreakable strength of the human spirit.
