BLUSHING Movement & Devising Workshop

Immerse yourself in the creative world of Blushing with this dynamic workshop, offering an exclusive opportunity to explore movement and devising techniques drawn directly from the production while engaging with Zen Zen Zo’s renowned training methodologies. Held at the Blushing Performance Venue at the Holy Trinity Church and hosted by Director and Zen Zen Zo Artistic Director, Indiah Morris.
Participants will:
- Step into Character: Create your own Blushing character, exploring themes of intimacy, connection, and physical storytelling.
- Move in Costume: Experience performing in the real costumes from the show, unlocking the unique physical language they inspire.
- Recreate Scenes: Learn and embody key moments from Blushing, gaining firsthand insight into the creative process behind this bold, high-energy production.
- Train with Zen Zen Zo Techniques: Engage with the company’s core methodologies.
Designed for performers, movers, and creators of all experience levels, this workshop invites you to engage with Blushing’s themes of touch and human connection while discovering the innovative training methods that define Zen Zen Zo’s approach.
Join us to move, create, and connect in a workshop inspired by the original world of Blushing and Zen Zen Zo’s fearless physical theatre tradition!
WHAT TO BRING:
- clothes you can move in (if you would like to, we encourage a white/beige tank top, singlet or sports bra for better immersion into the Blushing world)
- a water bottle
- a towel if you sweat a lot
- a light snack (if necessary)
