December Bight Night + Rope 101
Event description
Bight Night
Bight Nights are the second Thursday of the month from 6-10 pm. We provide the space, chill music, and rope specific equipment (like extra hardpoints), and you provide the good time! This is the event for bondage related labbing (practice), socializing, and casual education. Play is allowed at Bight Nights as long as rope is the focus of the interaction, but this is not a party, and the overhead lights will remain on.
This is a beginner friendly event! You don't need rope, experience, or a partner to come out and have a good time! If you've never been to a rope event, or if it's been a while and you need a refresher, please plan to be on time to join us at 6 pm for welcome tour followed by a 90ish minute Rope 101.
Must be 19+ to attend. Don't forget your ID for age verification at check in! Doors open at 6. Arriving late/leaving early is totally fine at this event!
Rope 101
Want to learn to tie or how to be tied? Welcome to Rope 101! In this hands-on class, you will learn basic rope safety, fundamental ties, rope bottoming basics, and foundational concepts of rope. This class is geared for rope tops, bottoms, self-tiers, and anyone else interested in rope with little to no experience or in need of a refresher. You'll learn enough in this class to be floor rope scene ready!
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own rope and safety cutters if they have them. Loaner rope will be available. A partner is not required for this class and partners cannot be provided, though partnered attendees are more than welcome to participate! Unpartnered attendees can self-tie, tie on inanimate objects, or pair up with other unpartnered attendees if they’d like.
Event Rules and Expectations:
- LNK Rules & Ban Lists: All LNK rules, ban lists, and expectations apply to our events in addition to any that we set. Please be sure to review these rules linked in the ticket confirmation.
- Consent: Be sure to negotiate BEFORE touching someone and/or someone's belongings AND before having a rope experience with someone, even at classes. If you're not sure how to navigate consent and negotiations, please ask SnappedGinger or event staff (identifiable by the yellow lanyards).
- RACK Space: Interact at your own risk. If you have questions or concerns at the event, please talk to SnappedGinger or event staff.
- Photos: Photos are allowed as long as EVERYONE in the photo consents to being in the photo. This includes people in the background! Blurring them out later is NOT a solution. The photo should not be taken if any part of anyone's body appears in the frame without their consent.
- Consequences: Violating these rules may result in a time-out or permanent ban.
Please reach out to SnappedGinger on FL or via the "Contact Event Host" feature if you have any questions!
