The Clifford Craig Health Foundation plays a vital role in raising funds for the North West Regional and Mersey Community Hospitals. Its mission is to improve community health outcomes through investment in innovative medical research, education for health professionals, advanced medical equipment and enhanced patient facilities.

In 2026 it is holding its first North West Giving Day, which will be held at the North West Regional Hospital, in Burnie on October 29.

Giving Day is a fundraising campaign, uniting our community and delivering essential equipment and initiatives to enhance the care of patients at both the North West Regional and Mersey Community Hospitals.

Identified by health care staff and management, Giving Day delivers projects, resources and equipment to improve the patient care experience, which won’t be funded by the government.

The Foundation’s Community Relations Lead-North West, Nigel Tapp, will briefly outline Giving Day and how members can be involved in improving healthcare services for people across the North West.
