Pattern & Pour is a social event for people who love sewing their own clothes.
The sewing community online is incredibly supportive and inspiring - but sometimes an online community only goes so far. Pattern & Pour is about bringing sewists together in real life.
Join us for an evening of drinks, conversation and shared snacks with people who understand the excitement of a good fabric shop find, a perfectly matched pattern, or finally finishing a project.
This is a conversation-focused sewing social.
No sewing machines, no projects, just a relaxed space to meet other people in Brisbane who love making their own clothes.
Your ticket includes shared table snacks for the evening. Drinks are available to purchase from the bar.
Whether you’ve been sewing for years or are just getting into garment making, you will have something in common with every person there!

- Do I need to bring a sewing project?
No, please don't. Pattern & Pour is a conversation-focused sewing social. This is a space to chat about sewing, patterns and fabric with other garment makers. No sewing machines or equipment are required (or allowed).
- What does my ticket include?
Your ticket secures your spot and includes shared table snacks for the evening. Drinks are purchased individually from the bar. Your ticket comes with a some of the easiest socialising you have ever done!
- What skill level is this for?
All skill levels are welcome, whether you've been sewing garments for years or are just getting started.
Pattern & Pour is designed primarily for people who sew their own clothes, but anyone interested in sewing and the crafting community is welcome.
- Can I come alone?
Many people will be coming on their own. Pattern & Pour is designed to help people meet others in the Brisbane sewing community.
Be brave and you will be rewarded!
- Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?
Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event.
After this time, you are able to list your ticket for resale. Please note that resale is not guaranteed, and we cannot ensure that another attendee will purchase your ticket.
- Will photos or videos be taken at the event?
Photos and short videos may be taken during the event for use on Pattern & Pour social media. If you’d prefer not to appear in any photos or videos, just let us know on the day and we will make sure your privacy is respected.
- How do I get there?
Plan your trip ahead of time because most venues won't provide free parking, we encourage you to use public transport where you can.

On the night, check our Instagram story for detailed location info (like exactly where to find us in the venue) or look for our sign.
- Is there an age range?
Our events are strictly 18+
