Evocations of water nymphs, goblins and the macabre feature in Ravel’s obliteratingly colourful and fiendishly virtuosic ‘Gaspard de la Nuit’. John Rotar’s Ravellian ‘Sonata’ premieres, alongside stunning new arrangements for piano and percussion of two of Ravel’s most poetic piano works.
