Body Peace Workplaces - Building a Supportive Relationship with your Body, Food and Movement
Description
Body Peace Workplaces are about a culture where everyone can proactively develop strong mental health, based on a free relationship with body, food and movement.
Funded by Beyond Bank, this Body Peace Workplaces program has been designed for professionals in the community who are wanting to experience the program firsthand, and to build knowledge, skills and practical strategies they can share with their teams - fostering a culture where everyone can build a supportive relationship with food, body and movement for overall wellbeing, and curb the harms of eating disorders. The program is designed to support workplace wellbeing, increase community awareness of eating disorders, and encourage helpseeking.
Eating Disorders Victoria is inviting individual employees and teams working in community organisations to attend a series of free online workshops in 2026. This includes people working in community health and mental health, youth, disability, advocacy and family services.
Across three workshops, participants will explore:
Defining body image and appearance ideals
How diet culture impacts our wellbeing
Practical strategies to build a supportive relationship with our bodies, food, and movement
Building a supportive environment in the workplace
Role modelling and supporting others, including colleagues, teams and those in our personal lives
Hear from people with lived experience
