Event description

Join us at The Dax Centre for a portrait workshop on Mothers Day led by artist Frances Cannon!

Come together with your mum, any other mother-figures in your life (looking at you, aunties and sisters - it takes a village after all), or bring your besties, for this portraiture workshop to reflect and celebrate all that makes you, you!

How much of ourselves is made up from the important people in our life? How can we show ourselves the same love we show our friends and family? How can we explore and reflect this through art making?

This highly anticipated event will involve a 1.5 hour self-portraiture drawing class lead by Frances, who will explore self-love through the creation of a self-portrait.

All materials will be provided included drawing utensils, paper and small mirrors (to assist with the self-portrait). Participants are welcome to bring along any additional materials they may wish to include in their own work. Participants with all levels of experience welcomed and encouraged - you don't need to know how to draw to come along! This workshop is all about celebrating all kinds of self-expression!
