In this unique form of dance, you will use your body as a vessel for prayer and meditation. As you move to the music, you will connect with your inner truth and allow your body to express your deepest desires. Ecstatic dance asks you to move free of the minds control, free of judgement and free of any talking. The music will take you on a journey that will have you dancing into uncharted territory, where the body can let go of choreography, form and appearance. This is true freedom. Open up a world under your skin, where the body yearns to move, shake, shuffle and fly.

Tell the story recorded in the body, it has weathered the storms, supported you and carried you, it has kept the score now let us listen to its fascia-nating tale.

Drop into your ecstatic state and free your inner dancer, not the performer but the one that surrenders to the joy and love of dance. Dissolve the dancer and become the dance - this is ecstasy.

The Dancing Dhevas community is a group dedicated to dancing with passion and authenticity, inclusivity and self growth. There is no talking and yet so much is said in the dance. Come and pray with us on the dance floor!

6:30 to 9pm, DOORS SHUT at 7:00 no entry after then.

Bring a water bottle, turn off phones and remove shoes before entering the dance floor.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Request a refund or ticket transfer to another event 24hrs before the event, after this period we are unable to manage tickets.

No shoes or talking on the dance floor, only water bottles in the hall. Please leave all other possessions in the foyer or in your car.

First time to DANCING DHEVAS...

Dancing Dhevas is a free form dance practice that invites you to engage in life as only you can, to move with such authenticity that it liberates the bubbles of ecstasy.

Conscious dance is a process of delving into your own individual, original dance, it is so unique to you and how you move that it can not be reproduced by anyone else. This gives us the freedom from constraints and judgements so we can explode our potential to move until it unleashes the dancer within. The room takes on a different energy as everyone drops into their dance and natural ecstasy is reached.

Come as you are or bring a friend, we share a dance floor of like minded souls who move as one and celebrate life in all its complexities in the moment.

Bring drinking water and a sweat towel if you wish.

We dance bare foot so we can open and ground our feet, the roots of our dance.

No talking on the dance floor, verbal chatter distracts you and others from this active meditation, if you feel you must talk take it outside of the hall.
