Body Safety Australia’s child sexual abuse prevention program: Every child in mind, no postcode left behind
Event description
Body Safety Australia is coming to Canberra ahead of Child Protection Week!
In partnership with Communities at Work, we invite parents, carers, sector leaders, and Members of Parliament to come together to write safer stories for children.
As a leading provider of primary prevention, education, and professional development, Body Safety Australia is committed to stopping childhood sexual abuse before it occurs, both in person and online. We engage the whole community to build safer environments for children.
You are invited to take part in our Community Parent Carer Workshop, a practical and empowering session that equips parents, carers, and the entire support network around children with the knowledge and skills needed to prevent childhood sexual abuse.
The workshop includes:
Childhood sexual abuse: the risk and myths
Identifying grooming behaviours
Online safety and image autonomy
Ten things to teach your child
Becoming champions for children
This event will include keynotes from:
