Event description

Body Safety Webinar – Conversations That Matter (FREE Webinar)

As parents, we all want to protect our children, but knowing how and when to talk about safety isn’t always easy. This practical and supportive webinar will help you feel more confident in having these important conversations with your child in their early years (from 6 months to 5 years).

You’ll learn:

  • Basic child safety myths and facts for parents

  • The fundamentals of body safety and consent for young children

  • Strategies for building open, trusted communication with children about safety

  • How to start the conversations and when these conversations work best.

About the Speakers
Kristi McVee is a former Detective Senior Constable, specialist child interviewer, and straight-talking child abuse prevention educator who doesn’t sugar-coat the truth.

She is also the founder of CAPE-AU, an organisation that equips parents and caregivers with the tools and strategies to protect children from sexual abuse. Drawing on her experience as both a detective and a parent, Kristi helps adults start the body safety conversations that matter, build unshakable trust with their kids, and spot the red flags before it’s too late.

She will be joined by Lynda Salvo, founder and owner of Explorers Early Learning, who brings her perspective as both a parent and a passionate advocate for quality care and education. Together, Kristi and Lynda will guide parents through these vital conversations with warmth, honesty, and practical advice.
