Bold and Bright Ball

Join us and celebrate your boldest and brightest self this Wear It Purple Day with an event not to be missed in Greater Shepparton … our first ever LGBTIQA+ youth ball! Wear It Purple Day is all about you, our young rainbow community, being yourself in all parts of life. This year’s theme, ‘Bold Voices, Bright Futures’ is all about celebrating just that – you!

Event Details:

💜 Saturday 30th August 2025

🌈 5.30pm – 9.00pm

💜 Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre, MEAC (23 Alexandra Street, Mooroopna)

🌈 For young people aged 12-25

💜 This event is open to young people who are LGBTIQA+ and young people who are friends or allies of the queer community.

🌈 Wear your boldest and brightest outfit, however you like to dress!

💜 The event will include free food, a low sensory space, art activities, a photobooth, live performance, a glitter station and more!

Additional Information:

• This event is alcohol, drug, smoke and vape free with no pass-outs.

• There will be an access key and social script sent via email closer to the event.

• This event will be fully supervised.

• Some transport will be available from Shepparton to Mooroopna and back, from a CBD location.

• Other transport from surrounding areas (Moira Shire, Campaspe Shire, and the Rural City of Benalla) will likely be made possible by partners supporting the event. More information will be available across Uniting’s social media platforms.
