ALEXANDER BOLDACHEV is a virtuoso-harpist, composer, exclusive artist of Italian harp house Salvi Harps, initiator of the World Harp Day, founder of the Zurich Harp Festival, co-founder of community “LYUDẎ”. Laureate of more than a dozen prestigious international competitions, including composing competitions; awarded by the “Britain's Brilliant Prodigies”, “Aoyama Music Award” in Kyoto, “Pro Europa” in Austria, presented by Heinz Fischer for high achievements in the field of culture; Fellow of the international foundations Vontobel in Switzerland and Banque Populaire in France, as well as the Russian foundations for the development of young musicians Spivakov, Temirkanov, the Rotary Club and Houses of Music that gave a start to his career. Laureate of the Prix Walo television award in Switzerland.

Plays the harp, piano and writes music from the age of five. Travels with solo concerts around the world, leads master classes at such educational institutions as the Royal Conservatory in Toronto, Juilliard School in New York, Royal Academy in London, Ferenc Liszt Academy in Budapest. In 2018, wrote and performed an electronic harp solo at the FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony, sharing the stage with Robbie Williams and Aida Garifullina. Performs in such world halls as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Hall of Gaveau in Paris, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Great Hall of the Philharmonic in St. Petersburg, and others, both with solo concerts and in collaboration with many European and Russian orchestras.

Alexander Boldachev is a participant of the festivals Burning Man, Musical Olympus, New Names, Mozart+, Davos and Gstaad in Switzerland, Big Russian Ball in Rome, Bravo Award, SKIF Sergey Kuroyokhin, Burberry and D&G shows, projects of The Moscow and St. Petersburg Houses of Music.

HOBART CITY BAND INC. is a not-for-profit organisation based in Tasmania, Australia, offering members of the community the opportunity to play in ensembles catering for a range of musical tastes and abilities.  

SIMON READE Musical director and conductor for Hobart City Band Inc.
Born in Launceston, Tasmania in 1977, Simon Reade is a conductor, composer, educator and trumpet player. He is passionate about the performance of new music and has given the world premiere of over 100 new works by Tasmanian composers, many of these with the Hobart Wind Symphony which he has directed for over 25 years. Simon also directs both the large ensembles at the University of Tasmania, conducts Tasmania's only A grade Brass Band for Glenorchy City Brass, as well as working freelance with professional and community organisations. He is a fully represented composer at the Australian Music Centre and in 2022 was awarded the APRA/AMCOS State Luminary Award for Tasmania, for his sustained contribution as a conductor and the promotion of Australian Music.

JAMIE WILSON began his musical journey at five when he began learning piano with Jo Van Emmerik. Finding a love for music he started learning percussion with Tracey Patten when he was nine. Jamie completed his Bachelor of Music at the University of Tasmania in 2022 with Gary Wain and Matt Goddard where he was given many opportunities to push his technical and musical
capabilities, most notably performing regularly as a casual member of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. While studying in Tasmania he received a conservatorium scholarship, the Susan Williams Prize, the Ossa music prize, Margaret Stoermer Prize and appeared on the UTas Dean’s Roll of Excellence for 2022. Jamie moved to Melbourne in 2023 to further his studies at the University of Melbourne, learning from Brent Miller and Rob Cossom, graduating with First Class Honours. In 2024 Jamie began studying at the Australian National Academy of Music and was awarded the Nick Deutsch Prize for Most Outstanding First Year Musician. Jamie would like to thank Dan Brown and Gary Wain for the generous use of their drums for his performance.
