Event description

Ever wondered what bushland treasures lay beyond what you can see from the walk trail?

Join this special event as the Friends of Bold Park guides lead a walk that goes off the usual tracks and into the bushland itself. See wildflowers up close and learn about the amazing plants and animals that live in Bold Park, including species that are difficult to see from the trails. We'll be exploring an area that the Friends and BGPA have been working to restore for 30 years, making it some of the healthiest and most diverse bushland within the park.

Due to the uniqueness of this walk and the sensitive nature of the bushland we'll be exploring, numbers are limited and a ticket is required for all attendees. Ticket price includes refreshments, made with native plant ingredients, at the end of the walk.

This walk is approximately 2km long and will take just over an hour. As the walk will be taking place off-trail, including uphill sections and uneven ground, you will need to be moderately fit and wear closed shoes. It is not suitable for prams, wheelchairs, or those requiring mobility aids. Dogs are not allowed to join us off-trail.

This event will go ahead in most weather conditions, but may be cancelled (and tickets refunded) if a severe weather warning is in place at the time of the walk.
