Live Primal Musician - Nienke

Nienke is a professional Art & Sound Therapist, Nada Yoga teacher and singer-songwriter, based on the Sunshine Coast. She holds a Bachelor in Art Therapy, a level 2 practitioner Diploma in Integral Sound Healing from the Sound Healing Academy, a 200hr (Yoga Alliance Registered) Nada Yoga Teacher certificate from the Nada Yoga school in India, a 25hr Restorative Yoga Teacher certificate from registered Relax and Renew Trainer Marian Cavanagh, and a Level 1 Zen Thai Shiatsu certificate.

Combining her unique skills she creates one of a kind classes and events that incorporate anything from yoga to mantra chanting, vocal toning, art, sound, breath-work, movement and meditation.

Nienke plays a wide variety of instruments from guitar to harmonium, singing bowls, flute, gong, drum, chimes, and her voice, that facilitate the inner journey towards the self. She is currently recording her first album, fusing traditional mantras with English and Dutch lyrics. Her gentle pure soul, open heart, and angelic voice, combined with sweet but powerful melodies will touch your core and nourish your inner being.

With decades of experience in the music industry and DJ performance, she embodies the soulful evolution of R.I.A., blending global influences into sets that inspire healing, transformation, and effortless movement—true to the Sanskrit meaning of Sahaja: "spontaneous, effortless flow."

A longtime advocate of shamanic embodied arts and a certified 5Elements Dance Activation™️ facilitator, Sahaja infuses her deep life experience into every set, crafting beautiful musical journeys that evoke connection and expression. Currently training as an Equine-Assisted Learning Facilitator and horsemanship educator, she continues to expand her offerings in embodied connection.

With over 20 years of DJing across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond, Sahaja brings an alchemical wisdom to her sets, carefully curating sonic odysseys that move both body and soul.

She is also a Yoga Alliance-certified teacher, trained with Power Living Australia and Shiva Rea’s Chakra Prana Vinyasa. Her multidisciplinary approach to movement, music, and mindfulness allows her to create transformative experiences that engage the whole being—body, mind, and spirit.
