Description

2 Hour Bonsai Workshop - The Artisan Farmer, Nabiac

Bonsai and Brews is a fun, easygoing workshop to share with friends or family, where you leave with a great story (and your own bonsai tree - valued at $120).

This beginner-friendly 2 hour workshop gets you hands-on from the start. All the way from Jervis Bay on the South Coast, bonsai master Mason guides you through potting, shaping and wiring a bonsai, drawing on 30 years of experience and plenty of humour to keep things relaxed.

No experience needed. If you can hold a pair of scissors, you'll be just fine.

This is as much a community catch-up as it is a workshop, so come early or stay on afterwards and indulge in lunch and treats from the menu. You’ll head home with your own bonsai, a clear understanding of how to care for it, and the confidence to keep it growing long after the event.

You’ll go home with:

  • A bonsai tree you choose yourself

  • A ceramic bonsai pot

  • Two hours of hands-on bonsai learning and wisdom

  • Ongoing support through the nursery and online resources

We’ll provide everything you need to work with:

  • A cuppa on us!

  • Bonsai soil and materials

  • Shears for trimming

  • Bamboo for digging

  • Wiring and shaping tools

A few things to know:

  • Limited spots available (30 people)

  • Held over two hours at the The Artisan Farmer, Nabiac

  • Come early or stay after for lunch, the cafe's open til 2.30pm

If you’ve ever wanted to learn bonsai basics, not formal, just good teaching in a great setting with your own plant to take home, this workshop is for you.

FAQs

  • Can two people share one tree/ticket?

No. Our events are ticketed per person, not per tree, so everyone attending must have a ticket. This is because space is limited and we need to be able to sell tickets for every seat we have available. Thank you for understanding.

  • How do I attend this event?

Cnr Pacific Highway &, Woosters Ln, Nabiac NSW 2312.

  • When should I arrive to the event and what else is included?

Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled event to get checked in. You'll receive a complimentary cuppa on us! This is a great time to place an order for anything else you'd like from the menu (at your own cost), whether that's breakfast (until 11am) before we start or lunch and treats or something to enjoy afterwards.
