Join us for a captivating morning of cultural storytelling, nature exploration, and creative fun for kids

Come sit down with Isobel for storytelling passed on to her by her Kabarli (Nana). Noongar language is the focus for this session which is featured throughout Isobel’s book Nedingar: Ancestors.  This is a fun, engaging presentation getting children moving and participating in activities including a nature walk and taking everyone on a journey to their special place through drawing and yarning.

Price:

• $15 per child (adults must accompany children, tickets required)
• $7.50 per adult
• $50 per family (2 adults and up to 3 children)
• Concession tickets available (for concession card holders and other eligible categories)

What to bring:

About the Presenter:

Isobel is Wilman, Ballardong Noongar woman born and raised in Collie, south-west of Western Australia with strong family connections in WA and now living on Bindjareb Boodja with her husband and three daughters. Raised in a large Noongar family, growing up on Wilman Boodja with a strong connection to Minningup where her Ancestors are resting. She grew up listening to stories and learning culture and language from her Kabarli (Nana). A Masters in Aboriginal Languages and a degree in teaching, including Noongar language, Isobel is enthusiastic about sharing her cultural knowledge with students and the community.
