Book Club ~ Becoming A Sun

We are excited to invite you to join the Becoming a Sun Book Club! We will read & discuss David Karchere's Book: Becoming a Sun: Emotional and Spiritual Intelligence for a Happy, Fulfilling Life. 

Becoming a Sun is a portrayal of the human journey. It shares essential emotional intelligence and spiritual wisdom designed to deepen the life experience of every person beyond religion, background or education. It calls us to the personal capacity and responsibility we all have to take seriously our personal impact on our world and the people around us. It also helps us to navigate an unfamiliar and challenging world for which many of us feel ill-prepared. 

In his opening chapter, David shares a foundational statement that we think describes why this book is worth exploring: “What your world, and the people in it, need most from you is for you to be a sun. They need your warmth. Your ability to offer your care for their well-being. Your ability to offer blessing. Nothing imposed. Nothing affected. Just the abiding spirit of love, constant in your heart of hearts.” 

We will discuss one chapter per session, meeting weekly for 7 weeks in total. Our gathering will be in person at Riverdell Spiritual Centre, 51 Clifford Rd, Hillier SA 5116 at 6:30pm to 8:30pm every Monday from 29th July and ending on Monday the 9th of September 2024. You will also be able to join the sessions via Zoom - When booking, please select an 'Online Zoom' ticket, and we will send you the Zoom link prior to the first session.

There is no cost. However, participants are welcome to offer a ‘thank you” donation to Riverdell.
