Book Launch and Conversation: Dr. Federica Caso

WIIS Australia is delighted to host a book launch and conversation event with Dr. Federica Caso from La Trobe University for her new book 'Settler Military Politics: Militarisation and the Aesthetics of War Commemoration'.

Settler Military Politics investigates the relationship between settler colonialism and militarisation. Highlighting the Australian experience. This book develops concepts of settler military politics and its constituent relationships. Caso argues that militarisation is a rationality for governing the settler polity and consolidates the settler colonial project. Settler Military Politics conducts an in-depth analysis of aesthetics of war commemoration in Australia and the role of the Australian War Memorial

Join us in conversation with Dr. Caso on the 13th of September from 12pm-1pm. This is an online event via Zoom. The link will be sent out to registered attendees on the day of the event.
