Description

Join us for the launch of the third book in Tamara von Werthern's Accidental Detective series.

When Philipp attends a ball at his cousin's castle, he is tasked with solving the disappearance of a young aristocrat. Meanwhile, former police sergeant Nadja Bernstein believes a serial killer is behind the deaths of several young women found near ruined castles across the Taunus region. Could the two cases be linked? Soon, Nadja joins forces with Philipp and his canine sidekick Maschka for a motorcycle pursuit across the German countryside - but will they catch their suspect before he strikes again?

Riders on the Storm is the third instalment in the Accidental Detective series by Tamara von Werthern. It will delight fans of her haplessly eccentric detective, inspired by the author's own father.

  • Philipp von Werthern

    Philipp von Werthern

Philipp von Werthern is Tamara's father, and will be at the book launch of Riders on the Storm to answer audience questions about what it is like to have been written into a crime novel as the main character without any prior knowledge of this happening. Philipp really does live in Hofheim, a small town in the foothills of the Taunus in Germany. He does ride a motorbike with a sidecar, and has so far owned chickens, several dogs (including the inimitable Maschka), a sheep, and a horse. He has booked his Eurostar train ticket, and is very much looking forward to taking part in the event. He will also be happy to sign copies (it's not every day that the protagonist of a novel will sign it for you)
