Book Launch: The shape/shift Anthology
Event description
It’s finally here! Fondue's debut book, the shape/shift anthology, is ready for launch and we want you to join the party.
We put the call-out Australia-wide to writers of short prose to respond to the theme of ‘shapeshift’. Now, 15 writers from diverse backgrounds, experience levels and styles come together in this collection traversing transformation, queerness, frustration, subterfuge, loss, joy and humour.
After more than a year spent grinding away, we’re ready to share this work with the community who was instrumental in making it happen. Taking place in the beautiful harbourside locale of Artspace, you'll get a taste of what’s inside the covers, with readings from Michelle Huynh, Jack Hawley, Alice Reid, Mich de Waal and Anita Donovan, supported by a special-guest musical performance.
This will be your first opportunity to buy the book – and at the best price. With beer by Grifter and all the cosiness you'd expect from Fondue, it’s shaping to be a real occasion.
RSVP to reserve your spot at this celebration of Australian writing, independent publishing and grassroots projects. We can’t wait to launch this thing with you all!
Thank you to City of Sydney for helping fund this event, taking place on the land and by the waters of the Gadigal people.
